Mysterious Lagger-Pro

I wanted to call LPS (LaggerPro) about a light and noticed that the toll-free 888 phone number they gave had a missing digit. I tried it anyway, unsuccessfully. I then called long distance information, gave them that phone #, the name(s) and exact address with area code. They said there was no such listing. I then tried a reverse address search online. Nothing!

I know this is a legitimate company, well respected on this forum.

Can anybody explain this?

I can't really explain the missing digit, but I do like the company. I just unpacked, in the last 5 minutes my new M3 that I ordered from them. They gave me an excellent response to an email inquiring about the M3 being in stock and at the old pre price increase price. I would recommend them.
