Tanasit sent me this host some time ago for an unspecified mod.

Hardware:
- modified FM11 head
- FM Megalennium body
- M.G.A.C.F.S. Bezel
- LED: SST-50-W65S-F21-GH102
- Shark Buck 3A w/ 3-level Remora

Some measurements:
- LED current lo-med-hi = 60 mA, 550 mA, 2.9 A
- light draws 0.03, 0.18, 1.12A @ 11.1V and 0.04, 0.21, 1.39A @ 9.0V

The FM11 head was machined by Fivemega to be Surefire M series compatible.

I built a removeable LE using a shortened contact piece from my M Zeppelin mods mated to a custom "MZ-screw". The SST-50 is reflowed to a seat on a copper slug, better pics of this design are here. The copper slug is pressed in the bore, and secured with a set screw. The advantages of this design are the ability to reflow the LED as well as the flexibility offered by the adjustable pedestal height, particularly when setting up a new light. It is important that slug fit tight in a reamed bore or you negate the reflow thermal advantage.

The LE alone is not compatible with SF M heads, or at least with their reflectors, but the head as a unit is fully compatible with the M3, M4, and M6 with stock or aftermarket cell holders.

The alum washer pictured above was made to sandwich between the reflector and MZ-screw and act as a thermal link. The cam mount of the reflector has been machined off and the opening enlarged.
