I've been noticing a lot of Nashville/ middle Tennessee folks lately. Would anyone be interested in a get together one weekend?

I now live in Gallatin. There are a few us here in the middle TN area. It would be great to meet some of the locals.
Just FYI we also had the SE Regional Get-together TN GA AL back in the fall at Cloudland Canyon GA http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/showthread.php?t=172691. It was a blast and we will be setting up the next one in late in March or early April. Details will be posted early March.
Any ideas for a local GT?

I also live in Gallatin (well, right outside it), and I know 535Sawby is up in White House. I met him the other night when I bought my new A2. 
The last time I spoke with him, Avatar 28 was also in the Nashville area. There's a guy in Eagleville that occasionally puts an old Surefire up on Craigslist, but I've yet to be able to contact him.
As for the regional GTG, I'm all about it. I just have to explain to the wife that now I not only actually get on the internet to talk about flashlights, but that we should drive to a different state one weekend so that I can talk about flashlights.

Sounds good to me. DuckHunterInTN is also somewhere in the Memphis area, I believe.

If you're buying the G2 Nitrolons, sure. Otherwise, not so much.
If you want good dinner, you could go to Demos' downtown Nashville location, at 300 Commerce Street... right near lots of fun things, like the (new) Grand Ole Opry, the music-bar district, the Titans stadium, and stuff like that. It's even VERY conveniently located near (in/under) a parking garage.

So let's plan something. I like the idea of meeting for dinner at a restaurant in Nashville but I'm open for anything. Would Sat Feb 16 or the 23 work for everyone? Would a lunch be better?
Maybe once we get a time that works for everyone we can pick a place central to everyone who can make it.

I'm good with lunch plans, so long as it's a weekend. I don't think I have anything going on the 23rd, but since the 16th is the weekend after Valentine's Day, I'll have to check and make sure my wife doesn't have anything lined up for us.

How would y'all feel about a Sunday afternoon meet, then? I can work things around for either weekend, the 16th or the 23. However, I leave March 1st to go to New York for two weeks for work.
I'm not sure what everyone's extracurricular interests are, but if the timing doesn't work out for a food- related meet, there are tons of other cool things in and around Nashville.

Seeing this post about a Nashville area get together prompted me to finally register on CPF. I've been a regular forum lurker for years, and I'm glad to learn there are fellow Flash-a-holics in the mid-TN area. I would definitely be interested in some sort of local event.

Sunday the 23rd sounds okay, but unfortunately I can't commit right now. I just found out today that my job is sending me to Crossville for a week, and I will return the Friday before the 23rd- then I leave the following weekend (March 1-2) for New York for two weeks. I'd love to meet everyone, but I also do need to see my wife for a bit in between my trips. I'll know for sure if I can make it sometime around the middle of this coming week. For now, I'll go with a tentative yes.
