Need advice on Mag85 C cell compatability

Length of C cell is about 50mm
Length of Sub C cell is about 44mm
Length of 4/5 Sub C cell is about 34mm
As you see, 9 of sub C cells will fit in 8C M*g which is not existed unless adding extension tube.
9 of 4/5 Sub C will fit in 6C M*g

could do a 3C mag85 that runs for about an hour with 3 C size Li-Ion cells from AW (due sometime in the next few weeks, maybe a month or so... depending on stuff)

In the meantime I am going to order me a 6 C cell and some 4/5c's, thanks again FM, I thought that 9 sub C's would fit in the 6C so thanks for helping me out on that one, hb/

Where are you ordering a 6 C cell Mag from? Pretty sure they're unavailable.

You could really only fit 3 Li-On C cells in a 3D Mag. I don't know of anyone making a sub C sized Li-On. But with just 3 of AW's cells you'd get over 11 volts.

Hburner, I use a 4C mag with 3x 2600MaH Li-ion cells in a 3/4 ID pvc holder.
Fires every time with no instaflash. I use FM`s PR to bi pin adapter for the bulb. No tailcap mods needed. Three cells are a perfect fit.

I was just wanting to get more mAh for longer runs. I could just settle for the 6C and 6 nimh and the 1111, the Mag11 that I have running off of 2 Dlions is just killer and with an hour runtime, it is pretty impressive, I just like the C cell form better.

A C cell is 46 mm long
A SC is 43 mm long
9 x 43 = 387 / 46 = 8.4 C cells long.
You need a cell that's about 30-31 mm long
a 2/3 C is 31mm. Where you'd get that? I have no idea.
In D cells
A D is 60 mm long
6 x 60 mm = 360 mm / 9 = 40mm per cell.
a 1/2D is 37mm
9 of those would fit nicely.

Still confused? I would like to have a Mag85 with at least 4500mAh in battery cap in a 6C cell mag confg, it would be long but once again I like the C cell feel and with it being that long it would make for a nice club to boot! But I still have no clue if there is any for a cell to use, btw I did not come up with any numbers at all!
