Is the sizing of the light the same as the newer models. I am asking about the old models with the round body and without the anti-roll bezel.

My concern is whether any drop-ins that will work with the newer 6P will have any issues with the older 6P because of different bezel or body sizing..

surefire guys please help...

Rycen is right. The bezels/lamp assemblies of the old 6P are interchangable with the new 6P (or the Z2, C2, M2). :)

All of that is correct and in fact if you prefer the hex anti-roll bezel, that's a standard part for the P/Z/C series lights and can be fitted in any available finish that suits you. The old tailcap can also be replaced either with the newer lock-out (and water-resistant) version that looks like the original, or with a "clickie."

Any difference in quality between the new and the old 6P?
In "quality" from the 1st gen and latest offerings? No. Pretty much what JNewell said regarding the the bezels, finishes and LOTC. I believe that all the "newer" ones have pyrex windows as opposed to some older ones with lexan.

Enjoy!

Lexan is a plastic and Pyrex is glass which is more scratch resistant than plastic.

For current production, I think that's right, but I know (because I've got a few) that there were hex bezels with lexan windows.

Lexan is almost shatterproof but scratches and can get mottled even by 6v lights - again, speaking from experience.
