I'm the new guy here and while I have been lurking a week or so ... some of the info is baffling and I require assistance. I use/have 5 SF 6 series lights. If I want to goto rechargeable batteries what do I use to replace the 2- CR123 batteries. Every light but one is LED, now and 2 I use on a daily (OK, nightly) basis in my job.
Appreciate any guidance/direction to what works & what doesn't.

Thanks,
Will

I'm no expert but think you can use the 18650 cells, AW makes the best ones, imho, and has a new one with 2600 Mah.

You can't use 18650's in a surefire that isn't bored to accept them; the tube simply isn't wide enough. However, you can fit 17670's, which are about the same width as 2 CR123's. However, they have less capacity than 18650's do. The light will also not be as bright (it might be as bright at the beginning, but it won't be regulated) if the dropin is made for 2 CR123's. You can also use rechargeable CR123s in some cases, but they are 3.7 volts, not 3 volts as with CR123s, so they may not work in all of the surefire lights.

So if I have a Malkoff M60 unit in a SF then it should work with the RCR123 without a problem ?
