Hi,

I had a safety marker shipped to me about a week ago. It seems to work fine, but I noticed a small "chip" in the device. The chip looks like it's inside the device somewhere, and the place where the chip is actually is a tad brighter. Wondering if it's another layer of covering, as if it was the glass phospher tube, I'd assume that part would not be lit. I don't know if it would be a slow tritium leak, if there was one, or if there was a problem, all the tritium would have been gone? I was wondering if this will affect it's functionality such as the tritium leaking out much faster than normal:

It's right inder the I and F in "LIFE". Sorry but I posted this a few days ago, and got no response, so I reposted. I'm sure someone has safety markers out there to see if this is on theirs, such as part of the design, or if it's a flaw that will render it useless. I emailed where I bought it from, and they sent me an online RMA form, but I don't really know if they looked at the pic to tell me if or not the safety marker is probably defective. They didn't say anything one way or the other, but if it looks like that chip is no problem, I'd like to keep it, if I'm reasonablly sure there's no leak, as it's my first and only one so far, and I did want it to show it to others this week and next. My blue one is on backorder. As I said, this is the first safety marker I ever owned, so I don't yet know what's harmless and what's not as far as assumed defects in regard to it's functioning. Thanks much.

Still glowing = tritium is still there.

Tritium is an atom, so if you have a tiny hairline crack even way down on the molecular level, it'll all quickly seep away. As long as there's glow, there's tritium.

Yep, thats glue to keep the glass vial stationary in the plastic shell, nothing to worry about.
