Well, I purchased an A2 from Sportsman Warehouse.. I told myself, "Buy it, you can sell it for a little profit".. Yeah, right.... Well, that fell through... I can't seem to let go.. I've packed everyday since... On to the question..

So, last night, I was installing an outside light for my brother and had my A2 locked on.. I was looking for the incan side of the light to just drop out and go dark and leave the LED's burning.

However, the light output on the incan bulb went low and kept burning.. Is this normal for the A2.. I was using SF batts that came with it.. Instead of letting the bulb run like that, I just put in new batteries..

Please advise all you A2 owners...

Thanks

No worries, that's normal. Once the batteries can no longer sustain the incan light in regulation, it drops out of regulation into a very dim and yellow direct drive. At this point the LEDs will continue to work for many hours, but most of us just replace the batteries as you did.

It will run dim yellow for about 10 minutes or so before it doesn't light anymore, depending on the cells and temperature.

Thanks guys.. I just wasn't sure.. I thought it was hard on the bulb to run it under voltage.. but if that is normal... Great..

Thanks again!!
