Interesting article. I think I'll wait for their tech to mature though. Increasing the energy density can increase the chances of a bigger kaboom if the materials fail in unexpected ways.

I'll believe it when I see it until then throw it in with the other hundreds of emerging battery tech that hasn't materialize.
Samsung announced in 2017 they're working on a battery that increases capacity by 45% and charges 5x faster. It's now near the end of 2023 and nothing.

Even if Apple does succeed in doing what others couldn't they probably won't let anyone else use it. So it wouldn't benefit anyone but Apple and their shareholders.

I'd still trust it more than a car with Windoz software. The blue screen of death would be literal.
