New Manfacturer: ExtremeBeam...?

They look like re-packaged/re-branded UltraFire lights.

Should I bother putting them on the 'P60 host' list??

IMHO not yet... let CPF'ers chime in and try them out to confirm whether or not they actually will fit a SF-P60 or DX-style.

I don't see anything special about these lights. They are just re-brands (or near close to it) of some of the popular DX/KD/QCG products. They are not really a "manufacturer", they probably have offices in USA with a small design staff... perhaps a small CAD workstation or artwork software with which to generate custom graphics for packaging as well as the products.

That $125 SAR-5 is just a DX rebrand:
SKU:15877 (Akoray K-109)
SKU:3273/8683/19627 (16340 cells)
SKU:998 (charger)

They take their .eps and .igs files to the bulk-rate manufacturers in China (the same ones that crank out super/ultra/trust-fire), and sub contract the manufacturing and QC.

Some of the marketing hype and literary style resembles the Alpha series modules on ebay... which makes me a little suspicious.

Yeah, there is a thread about this light over on multitool.org and it was mentioned that it was at the SHOT show.

jzmtl is a member over there as well and pointed out that it looked *fireish.

The response was that it may actually be that extremebeam is the company that makes some of the DX/KD/QCG lights.
Apparently extremembeam used to make lights for others and recently decided to produce them under their own name.

Quote from their site: The TAC 24 provides your weapon with dependable long range visibility up to 300 yards.

That's pretty impressive...

No mention of emitter type though.:thumbsdow

At $300/ea, thats pretty expensive to just try out. Maybe they'll send a free sample to one of you to review for us??
