Hello everyone,
I'm a new member here but I have been lurking and enjoying the various posts over the past year or so. I'm still fairly new to the world of high performance flashlights, but what I have I do enjoy.
As of yesterday I'm the owner of a brand new Fenix TK40. I got it on eBay for $131, including free shipping and a free pack of 8 AA alkalines, so I thought it was a pretty good deal. I paid for it on Friday evening and it was in my hands on Monday morning – can't beat that I don't think.
Anyway, I've been reading up about how everyone raves about the Sanyo Eneloop batteries and I thought that I'd give them a shot in my new TK40. Please keep in mind guys that I'm a newbie still, so could you please explain to me what sort of performance advantages there are to the Eneloops? Will I be able to just use my TK40 longer with them or will there be a real noticeable performance advantage to using them compared to the cheapo run of the mill Duracell alkalines that I have way too many of sitting on my shelf?
Also, what charger do you recommend for the AA Eneloops? I was looking at this nice one, but what do you all think about it?

While looking at the Battery Junction website, I found their AA Eneloops:
http://www.batteryjunction.com/eneloop-aa-4-pack-nimh-lsd.html
They're $11.49 if I buy two 4 packs. How is that price?
Thanks in advance for any help you might have.
