Coolermaster, a very reputable company in PC accessories and cooling, is creating a sister company to do LED home lighting. I haven't seen this anywhere else on CPF and even a google search does not turn up much.

They (coolermaster) definitely know about building heat sinks so they may be able to pull off some high power designs.

Feh, maybe I'm just being cynical, but it sounds like more over-priced LED retros that will cost a fortune. I love some of the copy these guys print though - from the web site:

"As for as the energy savings, one 120W halogen lamp equals six 20W LED lamps. "

Congratulations, you're smarter than a fifth grader! :duh2:

"The best thing is that a singe 20W LED has a higher light output than the 120W halogen lamp"

Assuming we're using a good optical design and good LED's capable of 100Lm / watt, then this statement = true. Problem is, other than floodlights for your back yard who the hell uses 120watt halogen floods? Maybe though if we see enough players making LED bases bulbs the prices will finally get reasonable. High-five for the Al Gore comment though :twothumbs

If their Lights are going be anything like their PC stuff then it's gonna to over promise, under-deliver, overpriced all flash and no dash.

Just one question: how do I 'overclock' it?

Now if you'll excuse me, I have to find my ladder so I can change the 120watt halogen bulbs in my bathroom.

Well their cases aren't that bad:p

I somewhat agree. Their Aluminum cases are ok but functionality wise I find they were lacking. You needed tools to use their "Tool-less" system. That's not to say I wouldn't use their products if I was in a pinch.
