Hi.
I have my Mag 2D modified with Luxeon V, Fatman driver and 8AA-to-2D serial/parallel battery holder (4.8V).

Fatman works when Vin is lower than Vf. So... Since Vf of Luxeon V is 6+ Volts and SSC P4 Vf is about 3.5 V I cannot use my current battery configuration for SSC.

But I can use standard 2D batteries with Vin=3V or 2.4V with NiMh I will have more brightness and more runtime !

Keep in mind min input voltage for the Fatman driver is 2.7V!

Oh sh...t. I forgot that... Bad, bad Fatman !

I knew it was to beautiful to be true.

So I need a new driver as well? Famous Shark ? That makes the whole project too expensive.

Nope... Shark also has a minimum input voltage of 2.7V .

So is there any driver that will power a Cree but with minimum input voltage of 2V ?
