Hello All,

Please excuse my absense, been very busy with my Ph.D. Rob kindly sent a stainless steel swivel clip for me to review, and since the BT lanyard broke, and my fingernails were long enough, I was able to install it between my Wee Ti and my keyring. I must warn you now, they are tricky to get on, but that means that they should stay on.

There is not alot you can really report about a swivel clip apart from that it is less likely to break due to abrasion than the BT lanyard. I barely notice it, which is what a clip should do. It swivels nicely when I twist the flashlight, and so turning it on and off is no problem.

Will let you know how it fares in the long run.

Hi! I just received mine that were both kindly installed on my new Raw NS and Wee NS. They work very well! The Raw has a larger swivel and McGizmo clip (I think its called a lobster clip, since it looks like a lobster claw). It works great and feels nice. The Wee's clip is the McGizmo nano. Its tiny - I don't have it in front of me, but its about 1/4 to 1/2 the height of the Wee. Its a good size for and fits well on the keychain. I usually carry one or both in my 5th jeans pocket, though.

Both are a good choice! My preference goes with the Raw style since I like the unique (to me) clip. I actually put a larger 35mm SS McGizmo clip on the Wee.

Hope this helps! I'm not sure how to upload pictures yet...I need to read the posts on how to do that, but Rob has good pics on his site here:

Have a great day!

I really like the new swivel over the old lanyard.
  • It allows placing the light in the tube.
  • Tailstanding is reasonably stable
  • Swivels!
Here are some pictures as requested. Cheers!

A point of clarification, there is a clasp called a lobster claw but it has a sprung gate on a pivot pin and is mechanically quite different than these torsion gate clips. I have seen a number of these in titanium even. Most are pretty small as they are used for chain and other jewelry applications. There are larger versions in brass and stainless steel for marine applications but they are more commonly called trigger snaps due to the lever or trigger you use to open them.
