New Tadiran Battery

Do I see a minimag mod in the future using two of these and a superbulb (e.g. 1274)? The downside would be the short runtime, from what I can see these batteries only have 500 mAh. They are probably going to be expensive as well.

Notice they are targeting aerospace/military. That is contractor-speak for "the price tag on this baby will knock your socks off". /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/huh.gif

These batteries were pitched to me as an improvement for backup power used in remote telemetry units for water and waste water systems. Most of the battery packs we currently use provide much higher Wh's, some as high as 85-90. These would obviously be combined in packs to provide the needed current for such an application, and, unlike flashlights, size is not as big an issue , but, there's not enough room for 40-50 of them. I guess since they were being promoted as they were and claiming sustained 5A capacity, I was hoping the 2Wh was wrong or extremly conservative.
