NiMH AAs and memory effect?

I'm curious if NiMH AAs have the same "memory effect" (shortened runtime) as Ni-Cad batteries. I just got a new Mag85,and I'm curious if using it infrequently(without charging) will drain the batteries or not. I'm using Sanyo 2300 mAh NiMH AAs.
