Hello everyone -

I am on my second NDI - I had to return my first due to some cosmetic flaws, but I do believe it worked properly -

This replacement is behaving oddly in the few days that I have had it in my possession -

I have noticed that sometimes, regardless of the head position, the light will not turn on at all when the button is half-pressed or fully clicked on. Another quick click will bring the light on normally.

The second odd thing this light is doing is that it will sometimes turn on, but without any useful illumination. I can look directly into the led and I can see that there is a slight illumination, like a dull glow. A quick click of the switch will bring the light on normally.

I am using new Eneloops -

Before I return the light for repair or replacement, I would like to hear of anyone having an similar problems. I have done the usual searching on NDI topics -

Thanks in advance -

Sounds like the switch may be a bit dicey or it could be contact issue such as the tailcap to body or head threads. I would try cleaning the contacts and threads first.

Don't they come with a spare switch these days? If so, you could try swapping it.

I bought mine before they came with a spare switch, and recently, it started acting up. I found that it was actually really easy to unsolder the switch and pry it open, then clean all the contacts and fractionally bend the contact nipple so it makes better contact. Push it back together; re-solder; piece of cake and good as new.
