Picked up some NOS Eneloop XX AAA cells (3 4-packs) Production Date 09/12 which puts them as of today, 8/31/2020, just about 8 years old.
Was curious as to how they'd perform so, so far, i have done the following...
Opened 1 pack and numbered each cell with a DOT(s) 1-2-3-4. To tell them apart.
Used a cheap pinch battery tester to measure them right out of the box:
1: 1.29
2: 1.29
3: 1.29
4: 1.29
Interesting. Decided to really check their voltage so I got out my multimeter.
1: 1.295
2: 1.295
3: 1.295
4: 1.295
Solid across the board. A little bit surprised.
Now to put them on a charger to see what they've really got in them.
I've got a MAHA 9000 and a SkyRC3000 at my disposal.
Any suggestions as to how to go about this?
I reckon i could do the following...
1: discharge
2: charge
3: refresh
4: break-in
Thoughts? Suggestions?
Ill add pics in a while.
