Novatac bezel missing a flute??? Now with pics...

Okay, I searched here and the marketplace, and found nothing. It's an LED light, so I post my question here... Does anyone else have one or know of such? I just purchased a mint Novatac 120P secondhand, and the black bezel has 5 of the 6 flutes, or crenelations, cut, but not the 6th. They are spaced for 6, with a wide portion not cut, not an evenly spaced 5. This doesen't trouble me at all, I just found it neat, and wanted some CPF feedback. 10299 ser. # if that helps. Thoughts? Thanks.

I guess it's a simple machining fault. And bad quality assurance.

It's a production mistake but it's kinda cool. But I like stuff like that.:naughty:

The OP said he got it secondhand so it may be an aftermarket bezel and not a necessarily Novatac's production mistake or bad quality control.

Nope, factory bezel... Matches my 120T perfectly, except for the flute. Came in original package, clip, booklet, etc. Thanks for the thoughts so far!

Does it affect the beam ? It will make for a really good trit installation !!!

I guess you can always get an aftermarket bezel if it bothers you, but still bad QC from Novatac.
