I will be ordering a Novatac EDC 120P plus a few other "toys" from light hound in a couple of weeks.

I know that Novatac's can take RC123A batteries but as I am living in NZ I have a question.

What I would like to do is add into my order a pair of RC123A batteries and a charger. But there is a catch - it must be a NZ compatible charger (240V) & of course be sold by Lighthound.

If you could recommend what RC123A's & charger I should get it would be appreciated.

Also if you could include links to the products and a reason why I should get X battery/charger over Y would be nice. TIA

If you are just going to use these cells one at a time, a single-bay Nano-charger would do fine. I would recommend AW's Li-Ion cells.

If you want to get these through Lighthound, AW's R123 cells are $6.99 and the Nano charger is $6.49.

Alternatively you could get them direct from AW (R123s are $6 each, and he sells the Nano-charger too for $7).

If you think you may use more than one cell at a time, or if you are going to use different size Li-Ions in other lights, you may want a 2-bay charger. As long as you use protected cells, the WF-139 charger would be OK (AW sells this for $15, Lighthound for $16.99) but do NOT use this charger with unprotected cells.

AW's Li-Ion cells are the best, and his shipping is fast and efficient.
