Hey everyone. I just bought a Novatac 120p. I have noticed that the low low mode "shakes" sometimes. I am not sure if that is the right word or not. It seems to "move." Has anyone else seen this in theirs? Is this normal?

Again, yes, it's typical. They have no fix so you either live with it or return it for a refund.

I noticed improvement after a few dozen wide open runs (till the battery was dead). Leds do "age" to a small degree and that seems to have helped.

I plan on keeping it because it is a tank! :twothumbs It is a sweet looking light!

Mine seems to flicker when the battery is real low. It is Ok when a newly recharged battery is installed.

I don't recall for sure but it seems this was an issue mostly when going from high to the lowest low. I've never noticed it on any Novatac 120P I've had but then I don't typically use the lowest low - rather my 'low' setting is up 3 or 4 levels from the lowest low. The Novatac is good in so many ways that even if it did have the flicker it would still be a primary EDC for me.

Yeah the fix seems to be to ignore the .08 setting.
However when I first got mine it did it on normall cell, but once I did switch to AW rechargable, did a battery rest it went away, now .08 is sweet!

Yeah play with the setting a bit. Mine flickered first, but after I played the setting and ramped the brightness for a bit it went away.

I thought my light came with the .08 setting originally but evidently it was .33 and I am now happier than ever with this light. It's only been a day since I changed the settings but I haven't noticed any flickering on low, but have on high.

A light with that pricetag shouldnt flicker at all :thumbsdow
