Back a long time ago I had ordered some NyoGel 759G - and used it periodically. I liked it + it kept my threads nice + smooth on my twisties, but when my light sat for more than a few days it would get very hard to move + until it was turned once or twice, lights required two handed operation. I wound up using the radio shack stuff for a long while.

Fast Forward to about a month ago... I attended the FCW-2 camping get together in Pennsylvania... KartRacer had tons of givaways + I wound up with a tube of NyoGel 760G, which was most awesomely sent to KartRacer by batteryJunction - www.batteryjunction.com "remember that coupon code cpf2006 saves you 5%"

I re-lubed a couple of lights + have to say the new mix is awesome. I no longer have trouble with stuck/hard to use threads... so much so that I'm even confident in putting it on clickie lights that hardly ever get opened... I suggest the 760G formula to anyone who used their lights a lot + wants to keep the threads turning nicely.

The 57 gram/2 oune tube is about the size of a medium tooth paste tube (a ton of lube) + should pretty much last you forever... at $6 bucks its hard to beat

I know what you mean ... I found I kept the old 759G confined to the o-rings, and used the radio shack teflon lube for the threads to keep them smooth (especially on twisties).

But the new 760G I also picked up from MattK at batteryjunction is much better, and can be used on the threads. A great improvement, and at a great price.

I got some 760G from lighthound, and it does what your759G did(sticky after a day or 2 without use). seems that the cheaper radio shack lube is better on my twisties:thinking:

Hiya Pumaman,

At what ambient temperature do you store your lights which makes the lube go sticky?

I bought a 500G Jar of 760G from TAI Lubricants, I believe it was $40 + shipping.

760G?
first time I heard of it being "sticky"

used it on just about all my flashlights without ill effects:twothumbs

759G was conductive. Is 760G conductive? I mean passes electricity and enhances conductivity. ProGold, now Dextroit Pro, is conductive, but Nyogel is more of a lub. I stopped using 759G for same reasons, gummed up threads, and lost conductivity.

From various sites that sell NyoGel 760G:
"NyoGel 760G is not conductive, but it was designed for lubricating surfaces that are conductive".

760G is not marketed as conductive, but for use with conductive parts... not sure how/why it works, but I've seen no ill effects on brightness even after several months of use. 760G lube has stayed clear + not gotten dirty yet, which is surprizing... most other stuff turns grey/ugly quickly.

I ordered 2 oz of the 760G from Battery Junction to try out. It is made for electrical contacts, not conductive, but must be neutral.

just room temps(68-85F). I realized its worse on my fireflys than other twisties, maybe the o-ring is made of something different than the others:shrug: and its not bad, just a little annoying.
