Here we go then as promised.

With charged up Sanyo Eneloop AA batteries Typ 2000mAh Min 1900mAh batteries in my M14 serial no 000569.
Batteries cost 4 pack AA $25 Au roughly 165 Zar here which don't mean much. Worth it I feel as I don't like shopping or want to go to town much.

Flat out mode till the 3 bleeps start

Flat out mode one could make out the trees roughly 300 mtres away. nice and spot lighty.
No critters to see the eyes of.

0 - 160 min or 2 hrs and 20 min from turn on.
The torch felt like it cool off some and the light diminished .
With in 5 minutes.
( I didn't catch the diminished output but it is usually pretty noticeable at the time. I was watching Television)
Now the 300 mtre trees could maybe just lit in the background but no good if you didn't know they were there .... but ...trees 100 mtres away weren't too bad.

Light output diminished for a further 25 minutes and it started 3 blink mode.

Changing mode to low power from blinking mode .
There is a faint output increase on full but not much.
Pretty dismal.

It will go for a bit longer on low mode but it maybe good enough to not trip over your feet.

Hows it go in your pocket??

Well its big enough!!!
In the wrong circumstances one could get attested for being a dirty 'ol man
Don't where tight jeans.

I got the AA 'cos I don't like the fiddly little AAA ones
I can get 'em anywhere (true)
And they are pretty much std with the stuff we got digi camera and other shite.

Hope that helps answer some of your questions.

I bought 4 more eneloops to have a spare set if need to change out and re-charge the others.
Can't see it happening in a normal nights use.

It'll do me.
Maybe there are better re-charge batteries I have no clue.
I try and keep it all simple as possible for myself. No brainer what will work in what.

Ohhh how is one supposed to clean the lens?
With some eye glass lens cleaner and soft cloth???

hope it helps
Bruce
