Oldie Upgrade - Pelican M6 HaIII

This is an oldie, but moldie post. Im looking to upgrade my old Pelican M6 HAIII and have seen some older posts about replacements that need some filing or sanding or soldering...Im posting to find out if there is some newer module that I can drop in without any modifications or hassle to really upgrade this light. Its well made, but isnt worth the weight of carrying compared to some of my newer lights. Any help is appreciated and I will apologize in advance for asking about such an old light...

well... Pelican did release a 180 lumen Cree version for the M6 #2390 since December 2008.

I am not too sure about drop in though. But even there is drop in, there arent many that will fit the M6 nicely. I might have a drop in that I may be able to sell to you in a few months time.

Also, I have the new Pelican M6 #2390 for sale at the CPF Market Place.. feel free to check it out.. just search for my username at marketplace.. then look at my thread.. there is some pictures as well so u can know how the new drop in look like.

Thanks for the info, guys. Seale Navy, will check out your info and may wait for your drop-in. Will keep in touch on that. I think the M6 is made well enough to "re-energize", so this is worth doing right.

Yeah no worries. So u can have a look at the new pelican reflector design for the M6 #2390. Honestly I dont think that is a nice design, but Pelican design it as such due to the optic of the Cree led, as the orange peel reflector resulted to rings formed in the beam..
