Found this light on PTS, was wondering if anyone had information on it as to how it compares to other similar lights?

Looks like it is still pre-order. Probably nobody has it yet to compare to other lights. At 240 lumens I'll bet that it will have some serious output. Personally I would like to see it compared to the Diablo A9.

Yeah, I was wondering mostly if anyone had info on who makes it, is it a good company, are there any other products from the company to check out, etc.

i have the regular version rated to 160 lumens, funny how i buy that 2 weeks ago then theirs talk about a brighter one coming out. check out www.olightworld.com thats the site but for some reason it only works on netscape or internet explorer not aol.

I sent 276 a PM to this effect but if anyone else has experience with this company I'd be really interested to know your impressions of the build quality, value, warranty, etc.

I like them both, like for example the P3D is more of a flood type of beam and the olight is more of a spot. The olight has a good feel to it its a little bigger, has an anti-roll to it, but what i like the most is the fact that it has more settings. To change the brightness you loosen the head then tighten it back to go from high to lowest again & again. But when its in the first mode which is the brightest if u do the half click u get the strobe then the SOS and u can change the brightness even in SOS. the light will also start off at the setting u left off at, but not if u left off in strobe or SOS. Dont really know about the warranty but when i sent them an email for info on the light before i bought it the were nice to respond. It cost less than the P3d which is nice but i like my P3d just as much it either comes down to me taking one with me or both. Got mine from www.batteryjunction.com though. Bye the way PTS is a good site even the discount "CPF specials" webpages/dealers - CPFMarketPlace got my Tiablo A9 Q5 there thats a nice light too.

I'd like to double check from someone supplying these for sale that they are not just a special edition/limited production item. Anyone able to confirm that for me?

They're limited availability - the Q5's are still very hard to get and usually have to be bought in small lots.

So, as a friend of mine once said in reference to an unreleated product, "Limited Edition - is that like limited to how many they can sell?"

In this case the limitation is how many they can build - Olight actually refused 1/2 of our order because they couldn't fill it. But they also said that they hope to get more emitters shortly.

Yes this is somewhat of a special addition. It took a considerable amount of time to convince OLight to produce a premium bin flashlight for us. We have been in email contact since July and now it's finally happening. The demand for this flashlight will probably turn it into a production flashlight when the Q5 Bin are cheep and easily available in volume. We still have about 50 left at this time. :D

OLight will set the standard in future flashlight performance (Please someone quote me in a year)!
