Very handsome lights, David!

Question:

Is the screw-in light engine Aleph compatible threading?

Re: Introducing: Custom IRIS - 1xCR123 XP-G R5 Multi Colors and Options *PICS*

Davide,

Very nice - any chance of a lanyard attachment? In particular maybe a clip with a hole in it such that you can put a lanyard around the light and back out through the clip?

I work in industry & do not want to drop my lights into equipment (or on the floor).

Hi Donn!

This time I wanted to mke something unique, the engine is not compatible with Aleh lights, it has been thought and designed ad hoc for the Iris.

Yes I understand what you mean :) They already have a lanyard attachement on the tailside, you can see it here:

Any chance of Ti version? :D

Re: Introducing: Custom IRIS - 1xCR123 XP-G R5 Multi Colors and Options *PICS*

Regarding some questions I got:

Yes it use the best switch available: the McClicky: :)

While loading it from the back and I developed a wider edge rubber boot that lays wider in the the tailcap housing allowing a secure sealing when screwed in the rear bezel.

I still did not rated water proof but I pretty much overbuilt it and should perform very well in damage and water resistance. The 7075 aluminium while stronger also got me brighter colors when anodized.

Yes I'll try to get up some beamshot later tonight!

No worries, I have a few Iris machined ready and I'm accepting orders on them but with Xmas holidays my anodizer will be full operative by the first week of January, sure the first you the first you get it :)

Any chance of Ti version? :D

Well, at the moment I'm pretty satisfied about 7075 alumium performance but I'm a titanium lover myself and I'll may think of a ti version in the future ;)

Re: Introducing: Custom IRIS - 1xCR123 XP-G R5 Multi Colors and Options *PICS*

Hi Davide,

is it possible to get two trit slots (for 1,5mm x 5,5mm trits) instead one lanyard attachement-hole in the tailcap?

If yes, I'll take #001 in black.:grin2:

Greetings

Re: Introducing: Custom IRIS - 1xCR123 XP-G R5 Multi Colors and Options *PICS*

Here's a sightly underexposed shot tho show the beamshape, the reflector is wide and deep enough to have e nice focused hotspot with the XP-G R5, getting around 240 Lumens at the emitter!
