OregonShooter tac. tailcap or cigar ring?

I had a tailguard during the short time that I had an A2 and I liked it. Good quality, price and fast shipping from OregonShooter himself.

I'd like to get one for the Z57 that Nekomane (sp) made and stopped making a while back.

I have both, but you can only effectively use one of them on your light at any time. They both work well as indended. I have the guard rings on two of my A2's. The combat grip ring sits in my A2 case because I don't use that light for shooting. I have a G2Z and an M3 that does the job better (because they aren't two stage and there is no delay in firing up). But the combat ring is very well made and works as it is supposed to.

leukos, when you say "combat ring" are you talking about the cigar ring or the extended ring that attaches on the tailcap?

If the combat ring you are referring to is the cigar ring how bad does it mar the finish?

Anyone have experience with either one?

Got 'em both on two A2's and just a grip ring on E2D body w/aleph head. They work great. The grip rings on my A2's are a little slimmer than his normal ones but still work fine and makes 'em more pocketable for me.

Mine haven't marred the finish as long as you take it easy with the screws.

I didn't use the screws at all for the grip ring, but that was because I didn't want it as a permanent feature.
