This was a burb I heard on the local evening news:
Extra Sub channels that you get with digital broadcasts over the air could be removed and sold to cell phone companies. Don't make sense because those sub channels (e.g. 7.2, 7.3...) is part of the digital stream from the broadcasting station.
They also said it is possible that over the air broadcasting could vanish altogether.
Something about the government generating more revenue by selling airspace to companies.
I haven't dug into this one yet, but sounds like misinformation.
