P2D CE serial number?

I just got a P2D CE used (but not registered to my knowledge) and I need the serial, I can't find anything on the head. Is this symptomatic of a older model?

I can't find any markings whatsoever no matter how hard I look. TIA

The newer ones have a serial number stamped clearly on the head, while most of the older ones were not serialized. I'm not sure exactly when it changed, but it was sometime later in 2007 I believe.

The Fenix lights does not have a serial number, but many new Fenix lights has a number, that might be a production batch number or distributer order number or something? This number is not unique, many lights has the same number.
