P7 emitter toast?

I have a Trustfire F16 and I was running it with the reflector off and for some reason it was disconnected from the heat sink ( the reflector was holding it on).
It got the emitter got SUPER hot of course and smoked so I flicked it off really fast.... It still works but its dim now, I can see no visible damage to the LEDs or anything. Is there anything I can do? or just buy a new P7 emitter.

Nope once the phosphor die overheats its toast for good.

That sucks... thought so, Oh well I'll just order a new emitter and be sure to get it with a tube of thermal compound....damnit. I hate waiting for DX do you know any other store to get what I need??
