All of you that have put a P7 in a Maglite.
Once you finish, did you locktite the threads or do you leave it for an adjustable beam?
I cut down the stock Mag reflector and adjust the beam to keep it focused at different distances.
Does anyone use a P7 Mag specific reflector? Do you need to adjust the beam?
I ask because I'm not happy with the beam pattern. It has a small dounut hole no matter how I adjust it.
Is it possible I made the hole too big. Should I only have made it big enough to sit over the dome and not the whole emitter?

Would I be better off with an orange peel reflector instead of the smooth stock one.
It's my first one... a 3 mode - Hi, Lo, Strobe. The driver isn't maxed out...only 2.35 amps, but I like the low battery flashing and run time with two LiFePO4's.
I want to do the next one better.
