I couldn't find anything about this light being modded so I though I'd ask. If there is a thread here can someone point me to it.

I've got a pelican stealthlight that takes 4xAA. It's got pretty good throw, but I was wondering If there is a mod that can be done here. Maybe change bulbs, higher voltage batts, etc. Will the ROP bulbs fit, and what size Li-ion batts replace AA. Would it be 18650's?

I think a D26/P60 sized drop in will fit. See the sticky about drop ins in the led section.

It would nicely run on NiMH AAs.
A 14500 is the AA sized Li-ion. Do not try using Li-ions without reading a bit about them and the risks involved.

Thanks for the reply, Anybody know for sure if the P60 dropins will work with this light? also If there are 4XAA's am I to assume that this light will run at 6V or am I looking at it the wrong way? Will 6V be enough for P60 drop in's?

That will depend on the drop-in. All can handle at least 3.7v. Most can handle 6v without any problem. Check this thread.

If P60 modules fit, then the other P60 type incan assemblies should also work, but then it would be recommended to use Lithium AA batteries, alkalines can't take the draw and NiMh don't have enough voltage(NiMh might work to overdrive a 3.7v assembly, presuming the bulb can take the extra voltage).

My Stealthlight has a larger head than the lights made for a P60. It wouldn't stay in place on my old Stealth. If the drop in-depth and contacts match then maybe shimming the drop-in's circumference may work.
