Hi all,
As you may know I've been working on a penlight for my girlfriend. She's been using her Streamlight Stylus, but we all know a flashaholics girl can't be using no stock wussy light /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/jpshakehead.gif
So with enormous thanks to Arc Mania for the Microconverter and Larry for his micro can I was able to design a 2xAAA penlight that runs a 1W Q3JW HD with a cut (way) down NX05 optic.
I just finished it up tonight, but there's only one problem. Since it's not anodized yet, it won't turn off /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/huh.gif
Other than that it's pretty cool. Plus it's my very first original completed scratch built.
Exactly 0.500" in diameter (Arc AAA size) and 4 3/4" long from front to button.
O-rings throughout including the switch. Push buttom momentary with twist constant on. Clip from an Arc AAA (huge thanks to zorba for sending them to me FOR FREE!)
Fatter tailcap holds the clip on when you slide the light into your pocket.
Still a lot of work to be done, but here it is...more or less.
Streamlight Stylus, regular pen, Penlux, Inova X1
