Re: Photo of snowfall in Colorado Mountains!

Here I thought you people were used to this sort of thing. Besides, with so many praying and/or Wishing for snow for a variety of reasons (pleas from greedy ski businesses are ignored), it was decided to give you one last itty bitty snowfall for this Winter (you didn't say how much and how fast).

Your prayers and wishes were heard and answered, so quit bellyaching. Next time be a bit more specific.

Here's one from the in-laws up at St. Mary's Glacier at elevation of ~10,900 ft. It's the house across the path from them.

Sometimes I miss living there, but today I don't.

We officially have 74 inches of snow! It's still snowing, too!

Pretty though eh? And the silence from the sound muffling is really a nice effect that I enjoy! I "sort of" miss those deep snows we used to get when I lived in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan! Thanks for the pics!

We could use some of that snow down here in south Florida. It's 91 with a heat index of 105. You can barely breathe outside.

Do you mean to say you cleared that path with that itty bitty shovel? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Re: Photo of snowfall in Colorado Mountains!

Wow, Last time I saw a single snow that deep was 48 years ago when we lived near Cripple Creek (Colorado).

I was three years old then, and I still remember the snow up to the roof of the house and the snow tunnel my father dug out to the road.

Thanks for sharing the photos.

Wingerr,
No wonder it took so long! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Silviron,
I'll bet Cripple Creek got a lot again this time, too!

Binky, I was born near Boston, and the Hingham I remember has an elevation of about 88 feet, I think it even borders the Atlantic. What Hingham Mass. are you from? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Stingray,
I just noticed that binky's elevation reads 8.800 feet, and not 8,800 feet. My mistake! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow. Whoever composed that lived in California.

Re: Photo of snowfall in Colorado Mountains!

Wow! Thanks for all the pics. Logging on to CPF is sure a lot easier than taking a trip to see for myself (and warmer too). I wonder how much more you are going to get tonight (I'm sure you'll keep us posted). Stay warm.
