well..still waiting..

on the side note a friend of mine who lived about an hour west of me applied for his permit too, when he did he told the lady that he was moving east soon, she said where, he told her, which is my town and she said thats fine. 2 weeks ago he goes in for his interview they are going through his paperwork, everything is going fine. She says i see you did move like you said,, she said where again was that? he told here and she said "were are done here, i cant do anything for you" he said i told you i was moving to such and such, she said i guess i did not hear you when you first mentioned it. he now has to re submit all of his paperwork to another licensing bureau, the one i went to. the thing is,,,i told him to go where i was going. She even called her supervisor and said he "my friend" checks out fine, everything is ok except for the location issue, two other family members in the house also have their permits...

I think thats not right what she did, it may have been a simple mistake. Now that his info is in the system, fbi check and all that,,,,,my friend is hopeing it may go quicker at the other bureau since the check was done already, mabey they can forward the info over, though he does have to go through all of his paperwork and 4 references again

what do you think about that

Considering the state, it sounds like typical bureaucratic non-sense. I don't always watch the news but Glenn Beck had a good segment on his show last night about this very issue. They had an insider talking about all of the manipulation and string pulling that goes on regarding these permits. It has nothing to do with safety and everything to do with exercising control. One thing you can count on, they're not going to make any provision for you, for their mistake.
