Hi all, I was referred here from elightbars.org, this place is pretty cool!

I need some info on the flashlight and bracket pictured below from a 1980's Missouri Highway Patrol vehicle. I'm told the flashlight is an Energizer, anyone know which model? Also can anyone ID the metal bracket being used to hold the light? I'm the market for both if anyone might have extras for sale.

Thanks!

Looks like an Eveready "Captain" 3D, except I'm not sure about the switch, I'd have expected a slide switch with a locking button (in a few variations). They should be easy to find on ebay. No idea about the bracket.

Yup. Captain. Here is it's 1980 2C sibling.

The white Eveready Energizer lettering is worn off the switchplate of that 3D.

Great, thanks guys! Now if I could just figure out that strange bracket...

Looks like it was either custom made for the patrol cars or maybe a standard LE item of that era for carrying the ever common Maglites in D cell configurations.

I have one of those brackets. I got it from my brother some 25 years ago. He is also a cop got it years before that at a local police supply. I tried using it but the darn thing pinches really bad and tends too rattle with a metal light. With the old monadock virgin monpac batons this did not happen. It tore up wood batons so I never really used it. It was strictly a c cell light or baton holder. Matter of fact I got that the same time I got the Kell light from my brother.

I'm probably wrong but I have a feeling this is a decendant of the Captain. As Paulr said, the Captain had a different switch and the light LumenHound linked to shows "Energizer" on the switchplate, not Captain.
