Thanks for that moving tribute to my 2000th post guys. Thought it would be fun to put it on the 35th (?) page of the LS thread. Graham worked around my cloaking device with much dexterity, I see.

The best news is that I've now earned another 800-some-odd posts in relative obscurity before Graham starts another one of these "Darell watch 3000" threads.

Looks like you're right, by the way, Graham. when I actually did start paying attention to the post counter the other day, it was working like you said, and nowhere near like what I said. Don't know when it changed, because I swear that several months ago it wasn't updating like it does now.

And finally some news from the remote-front: My [darl]ing* connection has died (did you notice that I've been *real* quiet all day suddenly? Well, it isn't becuase I'm basking in the glory of my crowning achievement. It is because I simply can't get online anymore. Same problem as the first day. Don't know what the problem is. I'm here borrowing another connection, and it really sucks. When are we gonna have broadband capability implanted under our skin?

So, I've been checking with the front desk every day to see if a T-shirt-sized package has arrived for me. But then I realized the problem: Nobody knows where I'm staying. So the package will probably be waiting for me when I return home. I'm OK with that.
