Porcupine clone

Welcome to CPF,

is it so difficult to add a questionmark to the title, a hello to the beginning and a name to the end of your very first post?

Rainer

Stryper, a CPF'er named PEU has custom-machined some pretty awesome looking pineapple type heads and bodies, sort of in a similar genre as the porcupines...Search...:)

Sorry,i just asked a quick question.I found this board through USN forums.I use flashlights a lot in my line of work but i do admit i like them just for the fun factor.Back to lurking i guess.

Stryper, don't be discouraged by Rainer's post. There's tons of friendly people in this great community.

:welcome:

The closest to a Porky light would be PEU's "pineapple" bodies.

Hi

The original SF L6P:

The pineapple is SF E-Series compatible.

Wow that's a harsh welcome. Rainer it seems that you are having a menopause, have you taken your meds yet?

To the OP.. welcome!

stitch_paradox, and everybody else,
That's quite enough. RainerWahnsinn has already apologised.

Back on topic -
SureFire Porcupines (-PP) are models that would not normally feature SureFire's crenelated "Strike Bezel".
The latest Porcupines have featured stainless steel Strike bezels.

The L6 Porcupine is special because it additionally has a unique patented body design.

Although PEU's Pineapple body goes towards imitating it - what makes the L6-PP body special to me does not appear to have been attempted by PEU.
In my opinion it's more a homage to the L6 Porcupine. Nicely done.

Okay, I have to bite! What is a 'porcupine' as it is applied to SureFire's wonderful line of products? I got the impression it has something to do with the strike bezel, is that the case?

Please enlighten me...
