Just bought a tray of 3v aa sized Fuji "Novel" CR6.L cells from e**y. I thought they would be ideal for my L1D CE as they would not exceed it's maximum voltage so I would retain the modes...plus I am a little wary about 14500 cells. They CR6.L cell measure at 3.2 to 3.27 volts across the terminals unloaded, but in the torch they don't work well giving a rather dim light. Any ideas why this would be. I wondered if their current capacity might be very limited. Anyone else got experience?

Thanks,

Jules

you got it, they are computer backup type battereis, they might run a clock or a thermostat, or a weather station or something, but they will not ouput power fast. in fact when they DO get discharged quickly the total capacity they discharge is very low.
so even if you put a 5mm led on them, you would be better off with a different cell.
