Just received an Ultrafire 602 A1 from DX (where it's called "Vippa"). DX says that the flashlight accepts both one AA battery or one 3.6V 14500. My light takes the 14500 battery just fine and holds a primar alkaline as well. However, none of my NiMH batteries fit. The tube appears to be too narrow for them. I'm somewhat disappointed. Although I intend to keep li-ion in it, I was hoping that either would work, if the situation required that. :awman: Has anyone else found this problem?

Otherwise, I like it. It has a nice quality finish and gives out quite a bit of
light on the 14500.

I've received mine 2 days ago and I got the same problem, the tube is too narrow for NiMH batteries. I've tested two different brands, two batteries of each brand, and no way.

Mine will take NiMH's. They're snug, but the ray o vac hybrids and the energizers both fit.

my eneloops are fitting.
i'm very impressed by the output of this small thing.

You are right about the Eneloops. I just tried one. I wonder if the difference is that the Eneloops are "only" 2000 mah, whereas the other four NiMH batteries I tried that don't fit are 2300 - 2650 mah and are therefore just slightly wider? It does have quite a bit of output--on both the Eneloops and the 14500. I'll have to try it on my lux meter and see the numbers.
