Looking for te right PVC tubing ize that would allow me to use A123 cells in a D size mag light. Also any suggestions on adhesive material to get tube to fit snug in mag body?

I want to use the A123 cells such as the ones in the Dewalt Cordless power supply's. Just want to know a good source of tubing and size for a perfect fit to prevent ratteling in a d size maglite.

I don't know what heat you're expecting, but when I hacked together the "4C" in a "3D" mag, I used a paper towel roll. I split it, put it in the tube, then loaded the C cells. I've also tried giving each cell a few turns of duct tape. In another experiment, I wrapped the cells in that cushy rubber mat drawer liner. Not something I'd do for a long term fix, but it proved the concept.

I've got my 1d mag with a 3.7v (lrb-168a) wrapped in paper towles nice and tight with no rattle. When I hange out the batt. I just slide it out the paper towels just stay in place!
Just my 2cents.
