I've had one a few weeks and love it. It's hanging on my side whenever I go ghosthunting, mostly because it works so well carrying it olympic-torch-style and using that great ceiling bounce.
ANYWAY...
I unscrewed the head yesterday and for the first time got an unobstrcuted view of the LED on the star. Now, I have no idea how to do such things, but I am ASSUMING that since it is so unobscured, that swapping it out for a Q5 emitter would be a relatively easy task for one with the proper skills?
If so, I'd be willing to grab another one (I have an endless supply with 4 Meijers within 20 mintues) and order a Q5 from DX if someone could swap it out, or better yet, do a photo tutorial on how to swap the emitter in this light. Has anyone offered to so this yet? If it is that easy, hows "I'll buy one for you too" sound for payment of services rendered?
