For those of you using homebuilt balancers (and using anything other than the DN/Tenergy unit), how do you get away from using all 4 bays? Do you use spacers/bolts in the empty bays and just use 1 or 2 bays (and of course, adjust the voltage accordingly).

Thanks,
Steve

Some times I jumper gator clips between contact points on the unused bays, (even do that to charge individual cells when usually you would need 2 cells in pairs). Other than that I really don't have any spacers to do this with and this is the only method I know

Cool. So in a 4 bay setting, I could take two bolts and place them into bays 3 and 4 (jumpering them, effectively) while I put batteries in 1 and 2. Sweet.

The only catch - how will the balancer see it.

You don't need to do anthing or use plugs with open slots. Only the used slots will make balancer connections to the Tenergy/DN
