I don't deny that I'd be getting this just to have a freaking bright light (see my fire-breathing thread). But when it comes down to it, is the M6 buying much over the M4?

With the M6 you have the satisfaction of knowing you own SF's top-of-the-line incandescent, you can't get better. But in true CPF advice, why not buy both and sell the one you use less?

Unless you opt for Surefire's top of the line rechargeable model. (10x Dominator). :D

I can see you are hooked on surefire incandescents, no problem, run out and get an M6 right away and I'm sure you'll be thrilled!!

You can see a thread I started here a day or two ago (title: Honest opinion...) questioning the community about the M6 and its "limited place" in everyday use. With that said, I asked the same question you ask now, only I didn't have CPF to rely on at the time. I couldn't decide between M4/6. I bought and second what size15 said above--M6 all the way.

Certainly the M6 if you're after the "wow factor" :) M6 has plenty of wow.

I'm a bit disappointed.... I'd expect you to say both. :lolsign:

 Well, nearly $800 worth of lights is just a tad too much. So I guess M6 it is! Time to stop by Brightguy.

And lyte~speed - yeah, I read your thread. This is *your* fault! The more I read about the M6, the more I wanted it! :)

Just kidding of course.

Nah. I've got a couple of M4's and a few M6's and after you've been using them for 20-30 minutes the power fo the M6 really shines on compared to the M4.

Brighter, whiter light, for longer.

I blamed my M6 purchase on JS X-LOLA thread!!

Always happy to be at fault (for you guys). I accept all responsibility and blame. Now if your wife, girlfriend, dog, whatever finds out I'll deny everything.

It sounds to me that the M6 is just what I need ... to keep an eye on the dog in the (fenced) backyard! (heh-heh)

Of course, it'd probably be best for me to send it to Milky so he can work his magic on it before I put it into service. :)

yeah, yeah, that's the ticket ...

This thread had me drooling and dreaming of owning an M6, which I've wanted since joining the CPF. Knowing that I'd never be able to spend that much, especially since I'm out of a job, I just went on fantasizing.

Today I received an unexpected box with the mail that was insured and I had to sign for. As I unwrapped it I began to shake, even though I didn't really think the Sure Fire box contained what it depicted. No frickin unbelievable way...it did! My friend, Starflash, gave me his M6 for a Christmas gift. It's in mint condition with an extra MN21 and a new lanyard. I cried.

4.8 amps that sucker sucks from new CR123s. I found out the cooling rings don't just look cool, but are necessary. I'll have to find out more about a rechargeable solution, but this is better than OK for now. WoW, oh Wow.

I believe in Santa again and feel like a little boy with the world's greatest gift. Please excuse my blubbering, but I'm just blown away. Thanks for understanding.

Thank you, Starflash. I love you, Man! :twothumbs:clap::rock:

Love the M6, picked up my 3rd a couple of days ago.
I also have an M4 and and M3T but find myself drawn to the M6.
