Just like the title, is the Surefire M3T bezel/head the same as the bezel/head of the M6?

Thanks. There was one on the marketplace but I missed it while I was trying to figure out if the head was the same. Oh well, I snoozed, I losed. Next time I will know.

i don't know if they're exactly the same, but they are (at the very least) compatible. might have different markings or something like that, but otherwise they are the same.
just like the KT4, and the bezel of the M4.
all of those fit the same lamps (MN15,MN16,MN20,MN21,MN60,MN61,N1,N2, and several lumens factory offerings). you just need to get the correct voltage to them, as most of them are designed for different voltages/battery configurations.

other bezels that will fit on the same threads, are the M3 bezel, and the KL6 (which is the L6 bezel). but the M3 bezel fits different bulbs (MN10,MN11, and some lumens factory offerings), and the KL6 is a LED head, so no bulb is needed.

They are all the same, all the KT4, and SF incan bezels don't have any markings except the ones that have "CAUTION: HOT SURFACE" on them.

But interestingly the orange peel finish varies from KT4 head to head, maybe as a batch production thing, or maybe base light to light.

I have a M6 which has a more matt MOP finish to the head on my M3T... They have very different hotspot charcteristics. One head has much more throw than the other. I've swapped the head/lamp assemblies around many times now to try and decide which I like best... I still can't make my mind up!

Yes there are variations from batch to batch. SureFire manufacturer in batches.

The "KT4" is not a TurboHead. It is a TurboHead Kit. TurboHead Kit Number Four in fact!

The TurboHead used by the M3T, M4, M6, KT4, M97, M98, M900AB, M500AB etc etc etc is the same Millennium TurboHead.
It is currently avaliable in two versions. The standard version features gentle scallops. The "-CB" version features aggressive crenelations and is one of SureFire's 'Strike Bezels'.

Thanks for that clarification on the model #. KT4 is a lot easier to type than "Millenium Turbo Head", though!

I, too, have noticed the difference in orange peel. My KT4(sic), and the SRTH I just sold have less aggressive orange peel than my KT2, which doesn't have as much throw as either.

Yup, I've noticed that as well. My M3T seems more glossy than the M6. Maybe designed for more throw? Variations in the batch, not really an issue for me.
