R2 vs Q5 difference minimal... comments?

From what I've read so far the primary difference between the R2 and Q5 seems pretty minimal. Although the R2 seems to have a somewhat warmer tint, the Q5 bin w/WG tint is close.

Seems to me that when the Q5 is done right (ie: Dereelight, M60, etc), it's still a very good option.

Comments & opinions welcome, of course!

I have not yet seen an R2 to comment, but I know that a Cree Q5 with WC tint looks very nice indeed. The tint is actually close to a well-driven incandescent.

the hotspot intensity is noticeable between these 2 including the P4 & the Q2

I have an R2 P60 module order for my SF. Unfortunately I dont have a Q5 to compare:mecry:. I'll be making the jump from a P4 to the R2. I already like the color/tint from the P4, although its still not as warm as a well driven incan. So hopefully the R2 will be an improvement.

If any San jose area members want to meet up we can do a little A/B comparison between the 3.:wave:.. just PM :thumbsup:
