The following figures are from a Quickbeam type lightbox.
I thought I'd put one of Endeavour's R2s in a JETBeam MKIIx to see what kind of improvement I'd get. This is with a 4.1V batt. and all numbers at 100% output.
With the stock P4 it showed 10,800 lux (150lm), With the R2 it jumped to 15,700 lux (218lm). Whoa, that's cookin. To be fair it dropped to 13,000 lux (180lm) in about a minute and held there.To give some perspective, my P3D Q5 and the T1 I briefly owned, showed a little over 12,000 lux (170lm).
It also improved with a NiMH, from 2800 to 4600.
I also changed out the Q2 in my Rexlight upgrade module to an R2. The results weren't as dramatic. With a 14500 it went from 9,500 lux to 11,000 lux, but it holds there. What I can't understand, there wasn't any change with a NiMH battery, both showed 4,800 lux. Probably something to do with the converter. :thinking:
edit; I forgot to say the P4 would drop down to about 130lm when got warm.
