I got a Menard's sale paper in the mail yesterday and it had a black ROV light that kind of looks like a Maglite, and it says it is 150 lumens and the sale price is a little over $22. Is that the Cree version everyone's been talking about?

I just went online and searched all four Menards sale papers and didn't find anything but Rayovac batteries.:sssh:

Yes, that is the same one, but it is actually dark green (the pic in the ad sucks) with a black rubber grip. Looks just like the one I bought from Meijer.

I doubt it. It says "4w LED" so this is only 40 lumens/watt. A CREE, even a P4 would give 150 at less than 3 watt, a CREE Q5 would do it at less than 2 watts.

I was just there at the store yesterday and saw it for the first time. The package says 150 lumens and 100 hour run time. Nothing about the bulb type.

I also noticed the 2AA Sportsman extreme is undergoing a change. They used to have an 80 lumen version and it had a tailcap clickie. Now all they have is a new version that does 45 lumens and has a side clickie and the body looks completely different and is longer. There was actually 1 of the old version of the 45 lumen model that looked exactly like the 80 lumen. The package was exactly the same too. Also on sale for 12.45.

I was hoping the 80 lumen with the tailcap switch would stick around and go on sale, but I guess I missed that.
