Hey folks I got a question on a streamlight TL-2. Would like to find some good rechargeables ( perfer pilas ) from a good dealer. Don't want to mod it if I can keep from it. Any advice is much welcome.

IIRC the most popular way to do that is to drop a bulb from a TL-3 in it and run a pair of 3.7V RCR123s, in the case of an incandescent, I suggest using a pair of IMR16340s from AW, as they will give you the best performance (output and discharge flatness) at this drain rate...

Get confirmation from a TL-2 owner who has done this to make sure the bulb swap I've suggested is compatible.

Thanks guys. I am kinda confused I went to www.pilatorch.com/images/PilaCompatibilityTable.pdf and looked at there compatibility for the TL-2 and it showed that the 600S or should fit. I then looked on the http://www.pilatorch.com/BatterySys_Batteries.htm and it says 600P or 600S. I got the 600P and it does not fit so is the 600S smaller? Guys I am not up to par or even understand alot of what is wrttien on these forums lol. So please be gentle :)http://www.pilatorch.com/images/PilaCompatibilityTable.pdf

Did you miss this in your second link?

Pila ¡§P¡¨ type batteries are mainly for Pila flashlights.
Pila ¡§S¡¨ type are reduced in diameter to fit majority of lithium battery (CR123A)

You need a 600S or protected 17670
You also need to replace the bulb with Strion bulb.
