Cheap as possible. Is there a difference in the UV lights offered out there?

Dad just uses a hand-held black light wand. He owns a carpet cleaning business. I think he bought it for $20 or something at a pawn shop. I know: It was cheap, it works.

So it has the best throw of all of the urine detectors out there?:eek:oo:

Remember not everything that glows is a disgusting bodily fluid. In fact most bodily fluids hardly glow at all, urine itself only glows the faintest of orange-brown. If our fluids and what not glowed than it would be easy to assume that just by pointing the lights at ourselves we'd light up like a Christmas tree. CSI the show has made us think a black light can reveal all when it's really an entire process using special developers and chemicals to bring out organic stains. The best you could hope for is that the bright spots you see are detergent spots since they contain phosphor brighteners to make those whites whiter and colors more colorful.

it is needed to know if it is safe to place one foot on each side of the toilet? or to check afterwards that it is safe for the next guy?

just toilet trained my son... now that I think of it, maybe all of us parents should request some urine detector recommendations from all you pros out there... LOL
